LG Begins Preorders for 49″ UltraGear Gaming Monitor

LG Electronics USA has just announced the pricing and availability of its latest gaming monitor, the 49-inch Curved UltraGear, aka the 49GR85DC-B. The new monitor, now available for pre-order on LG.com, is priced at $1299. LG is sweetening the pre-order deal by offering a free UltraGear Gaming Pad worth $200 and the company expects to ship in early April.

Performance and Immersive Design

The 49-inch UltraGear monitor offers cutting-edge gameplay with a 240Hz, Dual QHD (5120×1440) curved (1000R) display sporting an ultra-wide 32:9 aspect ratio VA LCD panel with a 2500:1 native contrast ratio. The 49GR85DC-B model carries the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification (minimum 350 nits brightness, 450 typical) and covers 95% of the DCI/P3 gamut. It offers a 1ms (GtG) response rate for lightning-fast gaming, and is compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for an optimized HDR gaming experience.

Gaming Features

LG’s monitor includes advanced gaming features such as Dynamic Action Sync, Black Stabilizer, FPS Counter, and Crosshair. These optimize gaming by reducing input lag, enhancing visibility in dark scenes, tracking frames per second, and improving accuracy.

OnScreen Control for Multi-tasking

The new LG has an OnScreen Control feature, allowing users to manage multiple input sources simultaneously. Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Picture-by-Picture (PbP) offer easy configuration. The monitor also offers enhanced gaming GUI options.

A built-in DTS Headphone:X jack provides accurate spatial localization for 3D audio over headphones, enhancing in-game audio immersion.
