Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a 1963 Ford Falcon Futura convertible.
This Falcon’s exterior was repainted white, and a new black convertible top was installed during the restoration. The exterior features a new top boot, rear body trim with Ford badging and Futura lettering, and chrome bumpers.
It rides on chrome 17-inch Coys wheels with 225/45/17 Extensa HP radial tires.
“The new interior is furnished with front bucket seats, a rear bench seat, trim, and door panels upholstered in black vinyl,” the listing states. “Features include power steering, manual brakes and windows, air conditioning, a center console with an automatic transmission shifter, an AM radio, a tilt steering column, and a 1967 Mustang steering wheel with a wood rim. Additional features include a new black dash pad, new black carpeting with sound insulation, and a new convertible top well cover.”
It’s powered by a 347ci stroker V8 engine with an aluminum intake, and a four-barrel carburetor. The engine bay was spruced up with chrome valve covers, a chrome air cleaner, an aluminum radiator, and reinforcement braces were installed.
The engine is paired with a console-shifted four-speed automatic overdrive transmission from Monster Transmission & Performance that sends power to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential.
This Falcon has a Global West independent front suspension with tubular control arms and coil-over shocks. It also features manual Wilwood drilled and slotted disc brakes. The battery was relocated to the trunk, and a new fuel tank and undercoating were installed during the restoration.
The sale includes a clear title, build documentation, owner’s manual, and restoration and service receipts. According to the selling dealer, the odometer reads 2,662 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
